This Privacy Policy explains what information Borderhold collects, how that information is used, and how to contact us about privacy questions.

Information We Collect

We currently collect only a limited set of information needed to operate the service.

• Your wallet address when you sign in.
• Your display name if you choose to set one.
• A session cookie used to keep you signed in and authorize API requests.

How We Use Information

We use this information to operate Borderhold, including to:

• authenticate your account or session,
• show your chosen display name in the game or related interfaces, and
• keep the service functioning and secure.

Wallet Authentication

Borderhold currently uses wallet-based authentication on the Polygon network. Beta environments may use the Polygon Amoy testnet. Your wallet provider, the Polygon network, and related infrastructure are operated by third parties outside our control.

Cookies

Borderhold currently uses a session cookie for authentication and authorized requests. We do not use analytics cookies or advertising cookies.

Analytics

Borderhold may use a self-hosted Plausible Analytics deployment to measure aggregate traffic on the marketing site and the `/play` entrypoint. When enabled, Plausible is configured without analytics cookies and is intended to collect only privacy-focused usage metrics such as pageviews, referrers, and top pages.

Sharing

We do not currently sell personal information. We may share information when reasonably necessary to operate the service, comply with law, protect the service, or enforce our rules.

Data Retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to operate Borderhold, maintain account continuity, protect the service, and resolve issues. Borderhold does not currently provide an automated account or data deletion workflow.

Security

We use reasonable efforts to protect the service, but no system can be guaranteed fully secure. You should also protect your wallet, device, and credentials.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
